The protest songs of Manos Loizos
The political character of composer Manos Loizos’ art comes out effortlessly through his songs, from “The Leader” to “World War III” and from “The Tree” to “The Soldier”. Today’s walk through his creations, which are replete with humanism and militancy, is based on a “juxtaposition” of two recordings that stand four decades apart: the 1985 live recording “Tribute” from the Olympic Stadium and the album “Meta” with covers released in 2022.

Ο πολιτικός Λοιζος βγαίνει αβίαστα μέσα από τα τραγούδια του, από τον «Τρίτο παγκόσμιο» μέχρι τον «Αρχηγό» κι από το «Δέντρο» μέχρι τον «Στρατιώτη». Η σημερινή περιδιάβαση στις γεμάτες ανθρωπισμό και αγωνιστικότητα δημιουργίες του βασίζεται σε μια «αντιπαράθεση» δύο ηχογραφημάτων με διαφορά τεσσάρων δεκαετιών: τη ζωντανή ηχογράφηση «Αφιέρωμα» από το Ολυμπιακό Στάδιο και το άλμπουμ «Μετά» με επανεκτελέσεις που κυκλοφόρησε το 2022.
