Laris Vrachimis, Lawyer, from Nicosia, Cyprus, Academic: “As long as you consider yourself to be at the mercy of the Turks from a military perspective, there is no way of reacting to anything regarding the Cyprus issue… The first and last thing that Nicosia must do is strengthen the Defense of Cyprus!!… The key question, however, is: Do we want to resist? Is there a willingness, from the national center, to include Cyprus in its planning? or is there none? If there is none, then we will be at the mercy of “third parties”…”.
