Greek Music Express: Global Rhythms – Reggae | 22 April 2024

The week that starts today here at GME explores the presence of four global rhythms in Greek song. Today we go on a trip to Jamaica and then return to Athens, as we are listening to Greek reggae songs! Our celebration of this uplifting popular dance music and the ways in which it has been introduced into the Greek mainstream includes bands such as Locomondo and Moca Revolutionaries, innovative songwriters such as Michalis Rakintzis, Foivos Delivorias and MC Yinka, and wonderful female vocalists such as Eleni Dimou and Rena Morfi.
