It was around 1960 when the well-known singer Michalis Menidiatis and his brothers opened the nightclub “Fantasia” first in the center of Athens and then exclusively to Hellinikon at the Athens Riviera. Big names appeared live, next to younger artists who later rose to stardom: Makis Christodoulopoulos, Litsa Diamanti, George Gerolymatos, Stamatis Gonidis, Angela Dimitriou and Lefteris Pantazis, among others, sang there. Today, we will be listening to live recordings from this legendary music hall that hosted the greatest names of Greek sentimental song and left a huge footprint on Athens by night.
