Author Konstantinos Poulis will be featured on the show “Our Town” on Monday, September 30, 2024, from 19:00 to 20:00 Athens time.
The talented writer, who has studied Sociology and Ancient Drama, will share that he aims to approach his work with the perspective of an essayist rather than a scholar. He will discuss his book “The Sip and the Glass” and primarily his latest work, “From Alert to …,” which includes conversations with his father, from which he will read excerpts.
Poulis will also express the idea that “no personal narrative is entirely individual.” Through his discussions with his father, he will bring to life an ever-changing era, its beauty and difficulties, social structures, professions, and daily life as reflected in family circumstances.
A characteristic of the author’s writing is the poetic flow of the narrative and the use of unique, captivating words. During the show, there will be references to street theater and the troupe “Tsiritsantsoules,” in which he participates.
Additionally, mention will be made of his journalism work, where he has his own distinct program. Various interesting musical pieces tailored to the author’s interests will also be featured.
Broadcast: Monday, September 30, at 19:00 Athens time – with a repeat on Tuesday, October 1, at 04:00
