The radio show “The Elves of Tradition” with Maria Koutsimpiri presents a special tribute to the folk music of Thessaly, focusing on the cities of Trikala and Larissa.
On Thursday, 10 July 2025, from the event hall of the Tsitsanis Museum, a live concert was broadcast simultaneously on Voice of Greece and ERT Larissa, aiming to highlight and document leading figures of Trikala’s folk tradition.
The concert featured:
Yiannis Gouziotis (vocals) and Miltiadis Paraskevas (violin),
joined by outstanding musicians of the younger generation:
- Giorgos Koltsidas (clarinet)
- Periklis Zisis (lute)
- Vasilis Margaritis (vocals)
- Yiannis Serifis (defi)
All of them are esteemed virtuosos, carrying forward the musical legacy of Trikala.
