Today, we remember an important—though less widely known—composer who passed away on 01 November 2021. With solid and comprehensive musical training, Takis Bougas enjoyed a rich recording career and collaborated with many major figures of Greek song.
Speaking to the distinguished colleague and friend Makis Gartzopoulos, he once said:
“In general, I don’t like labels at all—the ones that divide song into entechno and I don’t know what else. There is only good music and bad music. The art of song is grand, and it has no room for labels.”
