From an early age, Stamatis Spanoudakis knew he wanted to play and compose music. At the age of 12, he began studying guitar and music theory. By 17, he had left home and was making a living as a bass guitarist and keyboard player. Along the way, he met a number of musicians, among them Loukás Siderás, drummer of the band “Aphrodite’s Child”, with whom he travelled to Paris. There, they formed a group called “Eros”. This marked the beginning of a restless journey, rich in exploration and artistic searching.
