Semiramis Paliou, CEO of Diana Shipping and President of HELMEPA (the Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association), spoke to Voice of Greece and the program “Fair Winds and Following Seas” about HELMEPA’s mission, impact, and contribution to the protection of the marine environment during an event held at Posidonia 2026.
“We are doing important and meaningful work at HELMEPA, and that gives us the strength and vision to continue promoting and passing on a love for the sea, as well as the importance of protecting it through volunteerism and the many programs we run. The impact of HELMEPA’s work is now visible throughout society, in Greece and beyond,” Ms. Paliou noted.
