On Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 12:00 to 13:00 Athens time, “Our Town” welcomes Giorgos Perou, Lou Is and Lola Yannopoulou – three young musicians who discuss their artistic journeys, musical interests, and choice of subjects and lyrics, through which they bring their distinctive personal voices to Greek music.
Singer-songwriter, composer and arranger Giorgos Perou discusses the circumstances that inspired his songs and revisits several of his releases: “Δύο Κόσμοι”; “Φοβάμαι Μη Σε Χάσω,” featuring Zak Stefanou; “Του Πατέρα,” featuring Tryfon Karatzas and Thanasis Kourlabas; “Primavera”; and “Πάσχα και Πρωτομαγιά,” with lyrics by Isaak Sousis and featuring Giorgos Dalaras. The talented artist also reflects on the distinctive qualities that define his work.
Lou Is, an artist from the alternative pop scene, discusses her long-standing collaboration with Manolis Famellos, her studies, her distinctive journey through the recording industry and live music scene, and the recognition she has received as an emerging artist.
Lola Yannopoulou looks back on her extensive artistic career and her recorded work, beginning with “6 Αυτοτελείς Ιστορίες.” She also discusses the original music she has composed for short films and theatrical productions, as well as her collaborations with prominent artists from Greece and abroad.
The program raises issues affecting young artists today, along with broader social and cultural concerns.
