Leonidas Dimitriadis-Evgenidis, president of the Eugenides Foundation, takes the helm of “Fair Winds and Following Seas” on Voice of Greece.
Mr. Dimitriadis-Evgenidis co-signed the nine Technology Roadmaps of the Waterborne Technology Platform, which were presented to Apostolos Tzitzikostas, European Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism, at the Waterborne Leadership event during Connecting Europe Days 2026.
Among other points, Mr. Dimitriadis-Evgenidis emphasized: “The value of the roadmaps will be judged by whether their priorities translate into concrete projects, investment, and implementation. It is particularly significant that skills are treated as an integral part of the technological transition itself. New solutions need people who can design, build, certify, operate, and improve them. Rules must be clear and workable, grounded in evidence-based impact assessments, and, in a global industry such as shipping, promote international cooperation, particularly through the IMO.”
