We return once again to one of Greece’s three Nobel laureates in literature—three because here at GME, we count Ritsos as a member of that club, even though he never received the prize. Giorgos Seferis died on September 20, 1971, and we celebrate his enduring presence in Greek song. Our meeting point: unexpected musical settings of Seferis’s poetry by a younger generation of songwriters.
