On Sunday, March 9, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, the show “Our Town” will feature a tribute to Attik.
Attik (Kleon Triantafyllou), composer, lyricist, pianist, master of ceremonies, and actor, left a significant artistic mark on Greek music. The show will highlight key aspects of the life and career of this exceptional artist, his songs, his life, and his artistic space, “Mandra,” which served as a unique breeding ground for new artists who found a creative expression space there.
The pianist, radio producer, and Attik scholar David Nahmias will be a guest on the show, sharing fascinating stories, many of which are unknown to the public.
Nahmias will accompany young performer Christina Samara on the piano, and together they will perform some of the greatest songs of this remarkable creator live from the studio of Greek Radio for the listeners of the show.
An enjoyable two-hour special featuring beloved songs that will “illuminate” the fascinating artistic journey of this pioneering artist.
The show will also include special recordings featuring Danae, Petros Epitropakis, Anna Kalouta, and Attik himself.
