The Ship’s Log: Reminiscing the days of Liberty ships | 03 Apr. 2024

We would like to thank Captain Panos Tzemos for his beautiful naval history, which only he knows how to write and narrate in his own, special way!

They were all devastated by this difficult and tiring journey. For about 10 days, they were shaken! In addition to the big ripple, it also had an ugly side swell. They tried to take it a little from the left “mask”, but the result was almost the same. Very tiring trip. He wasn’t struggling with anything. Their only consolation was the quick arrival at the port that would relieve them a lot. Unfortunately, these are the well-known problems of unloading ships…

They had left Plymooth after a very quick unloading. Beautiful place, like most English ports. And what wouldn’t they give for a few more days of unloading… But gone are the old days. The era of “Liberties”. Today the means are desperately fast!
