Stathis Gourgouris (https://stathisgourgouris.com/) is a poet, essayist, translator, and electronic music composer. He is Professor of Comparative Literature and Society at Columbia University. He has published eight books of philosophy and criticism in English, as well as four in Greek: Does Literature Think? (Nefeli, 2007), Dream Nation (Kritiki, 2010), Perhaps Mischief (Nissos, 2017), and The Worldly and the Global (Psifides, 2025). He has published five poetry collections, the most recent in Greek being Introduction to Physics (2005).
