“Journeys Basking in Greek Light” tribute to Giannis Spanos | 03 Nov. 2024

On November 3rd, Giannis Papoutsakis presented a two-hour tribute to the great composer Giannis Spanos on the show “Journeys Basking in Greek Light”. The program explored Spanos’s life journey from Kiato to Paris and then to the music scenes of Athens, the “new wave” movement, his major successes, and his views on Greek music. The tribute featured songs performed by renowned voices such as Bithikotsis, Moscholiou, Parios, Dalaras, Marinella, Alexiou, Marinos, Tsanaklidou, Kokotas, Chomata, Violari, Karali, Afroditi Manou, Arleta, and Penny Xenaki.
