“Journeys Basking in Greek Light” on World Radio Day | 13 Feb. 2025

The February 13th episode of Giannis Papoutsakis’ show “Journeys Basking in Greek Light” was dedicated to World Radio Day. It explored the contribution of radio, its arrival in Greece in 1938, what Greece and the world listened to back then, the announcement of the 1940 war by the announcer of the Athens Radio Station, Kostas Stavropoulos, and radio theater, with excerpts from performances featuring the voices of Kiveli, Paxinou, Horn, and Lambeti.
