Eleven years later,Ioanna Mavrokefalidou, who just arrived in Copenhagen from Greenland, spoke on the show TWO PERSPECTIVES BUT MANY VIEWS with Christos Pagonis and Prokopis Angelopoulos about her experiences in frozen Greenland, an island of 59 thousand people, but also about the standard of living in Copenhagen, where she has been living for the last few months. The young social worker found herself in an area where the problem of the sexual abuse of children is a real plague, which was not being addressed due to the lack of skilled staff in social structures. She describes Copenhagen as a quiet city with a high standard of living, she also tells us about her salary and the cost of living and explains why her return to Greece is not part of her plans.
Pantelis Kapros: De-escalation of prices only when the war ends— Eliminating dependence on Russian gas is imperative
In the second part of the show, Mr. Pantelis Kapros,Professor of Energy Economics and Operational Research at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the NTUA, spoke about the Energy Crisis and Renewable Energy Sources. The distinguished scientist argued that the share of energy consumed from renewable sources in Greece could reach up to 85%-90% in the coming decades, by putting hydrogen and hydroelectric power in the picture. He talked about the mistakes the European Union made after 2014 and what must be done now in the direction of eliminating dependence on Russian gas. He also pointed out that photovoltaic panels and wind turbines have only benefits to offer towards this direction.
