On Sunday, June 4th, the show “Our Town” paid a special tribute to the connection between art and football.
In the studio, veteran footballer, former PSAP executive and president of the non-profit limited company “Episkyron”, Nikos Malliaris spoke about his own initiatives and about those of people of the arts and footballers to bring the two fields together.
Stories of personalities of art and football, that highlight their passion for the sport and the human and social dimensions that “come together” in the field of culture. Among them: Pep Guardiola, Shostakovic, French novelist, M. Duras, Carreras, Domingo, Pavarotti, Bob Marley, Pasolini, Bertolucci, Platini, Theodorakis, Hadjidakis, Papaioannou and others.
Nikos Malliaris talked about his relationship with important personalities of Barcelona and the cultural exchange with our country. References were made to the “Episkyron” association which organized thematic meetings with important speakers.
Manolis Mitsias spoke on the show and rare audio documents were aired.
