This is a story of a song, a song that went on a mysterious journey from Ireland to Greece. The song The Laughing Boy was written by Brendan Behan as a young man possibly for his mother. And it is this curious story which became an interesting two year in-depth documentary into the history of two similar worlds. Screenwriter Theo Dorgan explores the link between Behan and legendary composer Mikis Theodorakis starting from Ireland , going back to Greece’s political history and uprising to return to Ireland with a new song and how this song shaped and changed the world of many people.
