Kleon Skourtis is Executive Director of San Francisco Greek Film Festival – ”the first and longest-running Greek Film Festival in the USA”. Originally from Greece, he grew up in Alexandria and emigrated to the US in the early ’70s. For 25 years he has been teaching Greek language at schools. He is also vice-president of the Modern Greek Societies Foundation.
Nia Karteris is Chair of the Greek Festival of Sydney since 2004 and Vice-President of the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW, Sydney since 2010.
The Greek Film Festival in Australia is a highly successful large-scale cultural event for the Greek Diasora, and it has been around for more than 40 years.
