The Poet of the Week 09.10 – 15.10.2023 is Dimitra Kotoula
Dimitra Kotoula (1974) grew up in Xanthi. She studied archaeology and history of art in Greece and abroad. She has published the books Three notes for a music (Nefeli editions, 2004) Lingering narrative (Patakis editions, 2017) and You would be completely defenseless. White Book Poems (Patakis editions, 2021). Her poems and translations – mainly of American poets Louise Glück, Jorie Graham και Sharon Olds – have been presented in European and international poetry festivals and have been published in literary journals, online magazines, and anthologies in Greece, Europe and the States. Her work has been translated in nine languages. Under the supervision of the poet laureate Ted Kooser and translated by Maria Nazos selected works of hers will be published in America. She works as an archaeologist and lives with her daughter in Athens.
