”Our Town” tribute to DIAZOMA Association | 30.12.2023, 12.00

On Saturday, December 30th, at 12:00-13:00, the show “Our Town” will make a small tribute to “DIAZOMA“.

The founder and president of Diazoma, Stavros Benos, will speak about the pioneering organization for the restoration and promotion of monuments and ancient theatres.

The former Minister of Culture will refer to the many, innovative and highly effective Diazoma actions: to the 25 construction sites of ancient theatres, to the excavations, the studies, the restorations, the reconstructions, the pioneering programmes funded by the European Union.

References will be made to the many young people involved, to the corporate members, to the collective actions of Diazoma.

He will also talk about the institution “listening to young people”, about the connection between monuments and contemporary creation, about guided tours, documentaries, publications and generally about the unique, pioneering action of Diazoma
