Για δύο χρόνια συνέβαλε στην οργάνωση και λειτουργία των Σχολικών Βιβλιοθηκών στην Ελλάδα. Γράφει ποιήματα και δοκιμιακά κείμενα, μεταφράζει συστηματικά ποίηση και πεζογραφία, από τα αγγλικά, τα γαλλικά και τα αρχαία ελληνικά, και δημοσιεύει τακτικά άρθρα και δοκίμια για τη λογοτεχνία και για την ανάγνωση.
