Don’t miss the special, closing episode of ”Silent Tracks” | 10.01.2024, 13:00

The first season of “Silent Tracks” by ERT journalist and PhD in human geography Thomas Sideris, concludes with a special dramatized episode entitled “Esther”, on Friday, January 19th, 2024, at 1pm, Greek time.

The content of this episode was presented for the first time to the public as a 25-minute podcast, in the official competition section of the 63rd Thessaloniki International Film Festival.

(Thomas Sideris met Esther Cohen at her home in Ioannina, in July 2019). Through a long interview, Esther recounts all the events from the beginning of the deportation, her train journey to Poland, and her survival at the execution camp.

The audio material of the Esther Cohen interview is kindly provided to the Voice of Greece by Oros Films and Kostas Lazopoulos for the needs of the radio documentary series “Silent Tracks: The people behind the Holocaust”.
