On Saturday, May 18, 2024, 12:00 (Athens time)the show “Our Town” with Themis Rodamitis will present the International Archaeological and Cultural Documentary Festival -AGON-.
In the studio of “Voice of Greece” the president and artistic director Memi Spyratou and the composer and fellow traveler in the long course of the festival Nikos Platanos will be hosted. You will hear many and interesting facts about the rich cultural journey of this unique international institution concerning the many and important screenings, the thematic sections, their venues and people, the special facts captured by the lens of both experienced and younger filmmakers and creators.
Memi Spyratou will remember characteristic moments of this long and rich journey; she will talk about leading personalities who supported the festival, about her rationale, idea and vision, as well as that of the participants.
Nikos Platanos will talk about his own participation over the years, both as a musician and as an active friend and animator.
Directors Thanos Kartsoglou, Michalis Bastakis and Lydia Tseda will also speak on the show.
References will be made to this year’s program, which is of particular interest.
The festival will take place May 20-25 at the Greek Film Archive and May 26 at the the Olympia City Music Theatre “Maria Callas”, followed by a concert with Giorgos Dalaras.
