Voice of Greece radio at the 9th Mediterranean Radio Festival of Sitia 

“Voice of Greece” will broadcast the 9th Mediterranean Radio Festival of Sitia live from Sitia on July 5-7, 2024 (5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Athens time).

The festival, organized by the Municipality of Sitia and the Association of Friends of Sitia Music, will also air on various ERT regional stations. Natasa Vissarionos, journalist and editor-in-chief of “Voice of Greece,” will host the broadcast with technical support from Hellenic Radio sound engineer Argyris Panteliadis.

In its 9th edition, the festival showcases Greek traditional music blended with contemporary sounds, as well as music from the Mediterranean, Balkans, and the East. Featured performers include:

• Chatzifrageta, combining folk music with rebetiko, art songs, and hip-hop

• Pantelis Thalassinos, performing songs from his nearly 40-year career

• Banda Entopica, a traditional street band mixing traditional and modern Balkan music

• Respiro Flamenco, offering a music and dance show rich in Andalusian tradition

• Gkintiki, presenting a modern take on Greek traditional music

• Vassilis Stavrakakis, a leading voice in modern Cretan music, performing with lyre virtuoso Stelios Petrakis

• Tsita Korda and other notable acts
