Seven poems each week, one Greek poem every day, travels through the frequencies of VOICE OF GREECE, reaching the far corners of the earth where there are Greek voices. The week from October 28, 2024, to November 3, 2024, is dedicated to the poet Fanis Papageorgiou.
Fanis Papageorgiou was born in Athens in 1986.
In addition to his academic work, which includes over 50 publications, he has published five poetry collections: Washing Machine of Stars (Logotechnon Publishing, 2013, shortlisted for the “Giannis Varveris” Award for Emerging Poets by the Writers’ Society in 2013), The Sea with 150 Levels (Koukoutsi Publishing, 2016), Canal Among Clouds (Tharaka Publishing, 2018), With the Wrong Shadow (Koukkida Publishing, 2021), and A Small Theory of Planets (Koukkida Publishing, 2024).
His poems have been translated into eight (8) languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Catalan, Serbian, Croatian, and Finnish, and have been published in magazines and newspapers.
