Tzeni Oikonomidi visits “Our Town” | 01 Mar. 2025, 12:00

On Saturday, March 1st, from 12:00 to 13:00 (Athens time), the show “Our Town” will host Tzeni Oikonomidi.

The recently awarded author, honored with the “Menis Koumandareas” Award by the Hellenic Authors Society, will discuss her debut book, “Drought and Other Stories”, from which she will read excerpts. She will reflect on women’s writing, her deep love for words that evoke strong emotions and inspiration, and her unique relationship with time, rhythm, light, and the night.

Tzeni Oikonomidi will also speak about her hometown, Thessaloniki, both in the past and within today’s literary circles, as well as her favorite authors, Markos Meschos and Giorgos Ioannou.

She will touch on her special connection with humor, friendship, companionship, and music, as well as her love for radio, her favorite medium.

Poet Dimitris Chalazonitis will also join the show to discuss her work.
