Fenia Papadodima visits “Our Town” | 10 Mar. 2025, 10:00

On Monday, March 10, from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM, “Our Town” will host Fenia Papadodima.

The talented performer and actress, with a distinctive career in the arts and pioneering performances, will discuss her new project “WOMEN’s Prayers,” where she will bring to life the “voices of women” from around the world. It is a tribute to women who were creators, poets, painters, actresses, singers, and who literally changed the world while also changing the position of women within it.

The guest will talk about Billie Holiday, Rosa Eskenazi, Edith Piaf, Elis Regina, Nina Simone, and others. She will share how she blends African American and Brazilian music with European, Greek, Serafidi, Eastern, and Indian traditions.

In a deep conversation with Themis Rodamitis, Papadodima will reflect on the most significant moments of her life and discuss the importance of the Greek language, the pioneering Isadora Duncan, her favorite writer Alexandros Papadiamantis, Seferis, Elytis, Hatzidakis, and Chalepas. She will tell us that when you move away from yourself, you begin to know yourself better.
