Petros Veronis and Friends visit “Our Town” | 27 Apr. 2025, 12:00

On Sunday, April 27, from 12:00 to 14:00 Athens time (with a repeat broadcast on Monday, April 28, from 05:00 to 07:00), “Our Town” welcomes Petros Veronis and his friends.

Guided by a love of music rather than by labels or genres, six remarkable musicians — all living away from the urban center — come together to perform their own songs and fresh interpretations of beloved pieces from Greece and beyond. A vibrant and finely crafted program, poised to captivate the listeners of Voice of Greece.

Broadcasting live from Studio B of the Hellenic Radio, the ensemble features:
Alexandra Papastergiopoulou on cello,
Marianna Sangita Angeletaki Røe on vocals and percussion,
Chryssoula Kehayioglou on vocals,
Daniel Kousathanas on guitar,
Bjørn Ante Røe on vocals, percussion, and guitar,
and Petros Veronis on bouzouki, laouto, and vocals.

Their music, cherished and often sung across the Cyclades — where these six artists meet each summer — will fill the airwaves. Among the pieces composed and written by Petros Veronis are “Diles,” “Mystis,” and “Gia Mas,” while the Roe siblings will also offer songs in Norwegian, Spanish, and English.

In the spirit of friendship and shared exploration, the musicians will perform and converse with host Themis Rodamitis, reflecting on the bonds that unite them and the unique “musical place” they have shaped together — a place of discovery, creation, and distinct identity.

Produced and presented by Themis Rodamitis
