On Monday, March 31, at 10:00 PM (Athens time), the show Our Town will welcome award-winning and multi-talented actor Manolis Mavromatakis.
In a heartfelt conversation with host Themis Rodamitis, Mavromatakis will reflect on key moments of his career in theater, cinema, and acting education.
The discussion will touch on the significance of the Greek language, the transformation from “I” to “we,” the necessity of promoting Greece’s cultural heritage, and the barriers created by violence and division that prevent the emergence of a conscious and engaged citizen. The beloved actor will also emphasize the need for advocacy on crucial issues—culture, economy, philosophy, environment, and human relationships—so that politics can regain deeper meaning.
The show will reveal special insights into significant performances and films, including Loukis Laras by Vikelas, Mataroa, and My Enemy.
Mavromatakis will share his thoughts on the power of sound and silence, perspectives on mortality, and his strong stance against what he calls the “violence of mediocrity.”
He will also discuss his love for radio and literature, as well as his favorite islands and cities.
Broadcast: Monday, March 31, at 10:00 PM (Athens time) – with a repeat airing on Tuesday, April 1, at 4:00 AM.
