The radio series “Unguarded Passage” presents a two-part documentary exploring the current situation in the Palestinian territories, titled “Palestine in focus”.
On Friday, May 30, 2025, from 13:00 to 14:00 (Athens time), Part I will be broadcast on Voice of Greece under the title “Dying in pursuit of truth in Gaza.”
Produced in collaboration with the International Press Institute, this radio documentary uncovers the untold stories of journalists who lost their lives in Gaza. Through compelling evidence, firsthand testimonies, and audio recordings, it sheds light on the courageous work of independent journalists, photojournalists, and local correspondents – those who stood on the front lines without protection, often unnoticed by the world. This is a tribute to their unwavering commitment: those who kept their cameras rolling and microphones on, even until their final breath.
Part II, titled “The humanitarian crisis in Palestine,” will air live on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 13:00 to 14:00 (Athens time).
This episode delves into the deepening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, drawing on the latest report from the Red Cross. Joining us live in the studio of Voice of Greece is Youssef Dorgham, Ambassador of the Palestinian Authority to Greece. He will discuss the daily struggle for survival faced by Palestinians, the extensive damage to essential infrastructure—such as electricity and water systems—sustained over 19 months of ongoing conflict, the critical depletion of food supplies, and the urgent need to maintain vital services and provide care for displaced communities.
