Leading the way is Vassilis Tsitsanis, “the Vlachos,” accompanied by voices and pens that shaped Greek music and memory: Lizeta Nikolaou, Stellakis Perpiniadis, Kostas Virvos, Christos Kolokotronis, Sophia Vembo, Stratos Pagioumtzis, Spyros Zagoraios, Giorgos Margaritis, Sokratis Malamas, Dimos Moutsos, Maria Douraki, Nikos Gatsos, Ioulia Karapataki, Eleni Lampiri, Grigoris Bithikotsis, Marika Ninou, Dimitris Mitropanos, Prodromos Tsaousakis, Yiannis Thomopoulos, Apostolos Kaldaras, Lazaros Gatsapostolis, Haris Karagiannis, Niki Lami, Fotini Velesiotou, among others.
No strict order. No fixed theme. They’re not all singing Tsitsanis’ songs — rather, scattered gems, both well-known and hidden, that sing of and to the cities of the Thessalian plain.
