Each week spotlights a contemporary Greek poet, including voices from the Greek diaspora. The poets themselves curate and perform their own work for radio, with each piece set to music by acclaimed composers.
The week from 30/06/2025 to 06/07/2025 is dedicated to poet Efi Kalogeropoulou.
Efi Kalogeropoulou was born in Athens in 1963. She is a physicist and theatre scholar, and works in education.
Her first poetry collection, Σκεύη ταξιδίου, was published in 2008, followed by Ήχος από νερό (2010), Άμμος (2013), and Έρημος όπως Έρωτας – Desert as Desire (2015), a bilingual edition translated by Giannis Goumas. She continued with Χάρτης Ναυαγίων – Chart of Shipwrecks (2017) and Στην Εξορία του Βλέμματος – Banished Look (2019), also bilingual editions translated by Giannis Goumas. Her most recent collection, Στο Μονοπάτι των Σκύλων, was published in 2024.
Her poetry and theatre criticism have appeared in both print and digital literary journals and anthologies in Greece and internationally. Her work has been translated into English, Albanian, Spanish, German, and Italian.
