Two remarkable figures of the Greek Diaspora were featured on today’s program: Antigoni Tsiouli, prima ballerina of the Cairo Opera Ballet, and Kalliopi Brandstätter, President of the Hellenic Community of Hamburg, known for her significant philanthropic work – including donations of medical equipment and supplies to Greece.
Five years after her first appearance on the program, Antigoni Tsiouli spoke about the unique experience of performing at the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum, the world’s largest museum. She also discussed cultural diplomacy, the art of dance, what it means to her personally, and life in Cairo.
Kalliopi Brandstätter shared details about the tribute concert to Mikis Theodorakis, taking place in Hamburg on Saturday, 08 November, an event she personally initiated.
