The program “Narratives – Stories and Fairy Tales for All Ages” presents on Saturday, 06 December 2025, from 17:00 to 18:00 on Voice of Greece, the first part of the reading of the book “The Mischievous Brain” by authors Mikaela Gerogioka and Epi Zeggou, through the wonderful story of young Manos, who is diagnosed with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
Supporting the family of little Manos – and Manos himself – in understanding and dealing with this condition is the well-known physician Dr. Kornilios Troumplis, whose help enables everyone to cope with the daily challenges that OCD brings. And, undoubtedly, LOVE always proves to be the ultimate winner!
Epi Zeggou offers us a wonderful trilogy of books which, with great pleasure and honor, both “Narrations” and Voice of Greece will present on the first two Saturdays of December 2025 and the first two Saturdays of January 2026:
- “The Mischievous Brain” – Saturday 06.12.2025 (Part A) & Saturday 13.12.2025 (Part B)
- “My Grandfather and Mr. Alzheimer” – Saturday 03.01.2026
- “The (Very Special) Chromosome 21” – Saturday 10.01.2026
In the book on OCD, Epi Zeggou addresses the essential and often misunderstood nature of a disorder diagnosed in both adults and children. The presentation is supported by the kind collaboration of neurologist-psychiatrist Mr. Sideris Bakouras, as well as Mikaela Gerogioka, who enriches our understanding of the topic. Besides contributing commentary in the second and final part of the book, she has also undertaken the crucial Q&A section, explaining in simple and accessible terms all that concerns OCD. This excellent collaborative work is also available to international readers, in English, under the title “TOC! TOC! FALSE ALARM.”
Produced and presented by Maria Karagiannaki Iona
