On Saturday, 13 December 2025, from 12:00 to 13:00 (Athens time), the Voice of Greece program “Our Town”, hosted by Themis Rodamitis, welcomes the acclaimed Armenian oud virtuoso, composer, and singer Haig Yazdjian.
Yazdjian speaks about his family background, his roots, and his place of origin—Aleppo, Syria—as well as the musical influences that shaped his artistic path. He reflects on his earliest sources of inspiration and on the artists who served as models of musical integrity, guiding him toward a world of authentic creation.

He also discusses the album “Talar”, a landmark recording that captured his personal musical signature and brought him wide recognition among music lovers.
The conversation extends to his concerts, collaborations with leading musicians, the importance of improvisation in his work, and a new generation of soloists forging their own distinct paths. Music from across his significant artistic journey will be heard throughout the program.
