Revenue from sports tourism worldwide is expected to exceed 2 trillion dollars by 2030. Sports tourism accounts for 13% of the global tourism market and is emerging as one of the fastest-growing sectors of the tourism industry.
Giorgos Kosta, Professor of Sports Recreation at the School of Physical Education and Sport Science of the Democritus University of Thrace, analysed all the relevant data, lending his voice to the voice of Greeks everywhere through ERT’s global radio service, Voice of Greece. He spoke on the program “Athletic Voice” with Grigoris Nanis.
