On World Greek Language Day, the program “Time in Greece” presents an in-depth exploration of the Greek-language media of the Diaspora.
From the first Greek newspaper published in Vienna in 1784 to the present day, the program journeys across all continents, tracing the paths of Greek journalism beyond Greece’s borders. Dropping anchor in America, Canada, Australia, Constantinople and Smyrna, Trieste, and Egypt, this special tribute maps the enduring presence and role of the Greek press around the world. At the helm of the program’s voyage is Nikolas Angelidis.
