On Saturday, 18 April 2026, from 12:00 to 13:00 (Athens time), “Our Town” presents an episode dedicated to Apostolos Chatzichristos—one of the most important composers, lyricists, and performers of the rebetiko era.
A gifted and highly educated musician, he remained somewhat under the radar, even as many of his outstanding songs became major hits. This episode sheds light on aspects of this remarkable artist, who came from Asia Minor and earned the admiration of his peers—today widely regarded as one of the leading figures in the genre.
The program will also feature a short contribution by musician Petros Beratis.
