On this episode, we speak with Artemis Tsitsika, Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and collaborating Professor of UNESCO for Global Health and Education, about adolescent mental health and the challenges facing young people today. She discusses how parents can build healthy and meaningful relationships with their children, the dangers of imitation behavior, the warnings issued by the World Health Organization, and — most importantly — the signs that should alert parents, teachers, and everyone supporting adolescents.
We also speak with Sotiris Theocharis, President of the Hellenic Society of Dermatology and Venereology, who explains why skin cancers — and melanoma in particular — have been increasing at an alarming rate in recent years. He highlights the importance of proper sunscreen use and emphasizes the need for regular self-examination and annual preventive skin checks by a dermatologist.
