On Saturday, 13 June 2026, at 08:00 Athens time, Voice of Greece’s “Fair Winds and Following Seas – Saturday Shift”, presented by Antonis Karagiannakis, welcomes Serafeim Kapros, President of the Department of Shipping, Trade and Transport at the University of the Aegean.
Professor Kapros discusses his lifelong connection to and love for the sea, the maritime heritage of Chios and its people, as well as the Department of Shipping, Trade and Transport at the University of the Aegean. He reflects on the department’s 25-year journey, its academic programs, and the strong demand for its graduates, noting that they are absorbed into the shipping industry almost immediately after completing their studies.
