On Tuesday, 16 June 2026, “Common Ground” on Voice of Greece visited the village of Charakas in Laconia.
Guiding listeners through different aspects of the area’s history and development, from the past to the present day, were Pitsa Priftaki, former Mayor of the Municipality of Zarakas; Chrysanthi Rovatsou, President of the Association of Charakians Worldwide; Chrysoula Fifli, lawyer and member of the Charakas Theater Group; and Aris Theodoropoulos, mountain guide, climbing and mountaineering instructor, and author.
Aris Theodoropoulos also spoke about the region’s many remarkable climbing destinations and the outdoor experiences it offers beyond them.
