On Saturday, 4 July, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. (Athens time), Voice of Greece’s “Our Town” welcomes the acclaimed poet, translator, essayist, child psychiatrist, and psychoanalyst Thanasis Chatzopoulos.

In a thoughtful conversation, Chatzopoulos reflects on poetic writing, discussing rhythm, time, and sound as essential elements of the creative process. He also shares his thoughts on inspiration, the value of observing everyday life, and the cities that have shaped his work, with particular emphasis on Paris.

During the program, he reads excerpts from his books Verbs for the Rose (A Sketch of Poetics) and Our Daily Time, while also speaking about his work as a child psychiatrist and psychoanalyst.
