“Time in Greece” and Nikolas Angelidis have the great pleasure and honor of welcoming acclaimed singer Adem Ekiz from Trabzon.
Born and raised in Turkey, the artist has made history with his Pontic Greek songs, which have enjoyed tremendous success around the world. He recalls his village, to which he returned with a deep sense of nostalgia, and his father speaking only Pontic Greek at home.
Ekiz shares the story of his life, his love for Greece, his passion for his roots and the Romeyka language, and the difficulties he faced on his path to success. He is waging his own battle to preserve and promote his heritage and language.
Also joining the program is Christos Konstantinidis, editor-in-chief of PontosVoice and a close friend of the pioneering musician.
