On Saturday, 12 September 2026, at 12:00 Athens time, “Our Town” with Themis Rodamitis welcomes Stefanos Nikolaos Theotokis to the Voice of Greece studio.
The accomplished filmmaker, whose long career spans directing, screenwriting, cinema, and advertising, looks back on the defining moments of his creative journey.
He discusses the major ERT production “The Antennas of Our Time,” which he produced and co-directed in collaboration with Mikela Chartoulari and Antaios Chrysostomidis. The acclaimed series featured some of the world’s most important writers, creating memorable portraits of figures such as Umberto Eco and Claudio Magris from Italy, Herta Muller from Germany, Leonardo Padura from Cuba, Mario Vargas Llosa from Spain and Peru, and Amos Oz from Israel.
The guest also joins Themis Rodamitis to explore the themes of his book I Write Knowing That I Write Nothing (“Γράφω γνωρίζοντας πως δεν γράφω τίποτα”). Their conversation touches on chapters including “The Age of Tenderness,” “The Fire of Postponement,” and “The Director of Despair.”
They also discuss the world of advertising, fear, silence, time, and the truth of writing.
