Marking Brazil’s Independence Day on 7 September and looking ahead to the October elections, Voice of Greece’s “Historical Walks”, presented by Marilena Katsimi, travels to Latin America’s largest country to explore it beyond the familiar stereotypes of samba, Carnival and soccer.
Racism and “whitening,” immense wealth and favelas, social inequality and the position of women: To what extent do different social classes live within their own separate “bubbles”?
