ANIMASYROS on “Our Town” | 22 June 2024, 12:00

On Saturday June 22nd at 12:00-13:00 Athens time, “Our Town” will present ANIMASYROS 2024, the largest international animation festival in Greece and one of the largest in Europe, which returns from September 23 to 29, 2024 to Syros.

Vassilis Karamitsanis, president of this multi-year and successful festival, is invited on the show. He talks about the competition sections, the special tributes, the educational workshops, the rich program of parallel actions, the new international and domestic collaborations.

He also discusses the theme of this year’s event “Africa: A Continent of Animation” which is dedicated to contemporary African animation creation and production and runs through all the pillars of the festival aiming to highlight the rich mosaic of storytelling and artistic innovation of the African continent.
