Dimitris Kassaris on “Our Town” | 01 Feb. 2025, 12:00

On Saturday, February 1st, from 12:00 to 13:00 (Athens time), the show Our Town will host Dimitris Kassaris.

The composer, songwriter, and author will take us through his artistic journey, from his collaborations with choirs and participation in performances, musicals, and children’s productions, to his experiences working with renowned lyrical singers and conductors. He will share insights into the themes explored in his books, poetry, and songs.

Dimitris Kassaris will discuss concepts such as citizenship, the environment, and diversity, as well as how these inspire his music. Special emphasis will be placed on the relationship between children, books, images, and writing, inspired by his children’s literature. He will also talk about his favorite cities and the concert venues where he has performed.

The program will feature his compositions performed by Giorgos Dalaras, Vassilis Lekkas, Roula Antonopoulou, Iro Saia, and Kostas Thomaidis, while he will also perform live in the studio with his guitar. Guest Vassilis Gisdakis will share his thoughts on Dimitris Kassaris.
